St Rose Festival Planned at Schulenburg Parish Hall

Parishioners of St. Rose of Lima invite all to a Sept. 26 festival at the K of C Hall. Schulenburg Trail Riders arrive at noon. Shiner United Fund Sets 1976 Drive Goal

The Shiner United Fund board met September 14 and set a drive goal of 3800 for six agencies. Agencies include American Red Cross 350 Bluebonnet Youth Ret 500 Boy Scouts 850 Girl Scouts 400 Salvation Army 700 Texas Rehab Center 1. The same goal as last year is proposed with expectation of strong participation.

Lavaca County to Join Shine Influenza Immunization Program

Lavaca County will participate in the Shine Influenza Immunization Program with vaccine distribution in several areas within four to six weeks. Shiner residents may receive the vaccine in Shiner at an announced time. The program offers free swine influenza vaccination to all willing citizens, supported by federal and state health agencies and a volunteer administration effort.
