Regrettable Accident Claims Life of Frank E. Janecek
A man walking to town was struck by a car coming from Yoakum on a rural highway near Shiner. Frank E. Janecek died instantly from a broken neck and severe injuries after the bumper struck his legs and he was thrown to the concrete. Survived by a large family, he was a longtime constable. services were held at the Catholic church with Requiem High Mass and burial in the Catholic cemetery.
