Shiner Kiwanis observes Charter Night

The Shi ner Kiwanis Club marked the official start of Kiwanis in Shiner with Charter Night on Tuesday August 30 1977 at 7 30 p.m. at Patek's Restaurant. The event welcomed a new chapter joining clubs across the United States and abroad.

Rotary program highlights Shiner football prospects talk

Shiner Rotary Club featured Head Coach Calvin Tucker of Shiner High School as program chairman August 31. Tucker discussed this year’s football situation, players, and challenges, noting the team’s hard work and aims to reach the top. Kiwanis guests and officials from multiple clubs attended, and the Shiner Kiwanis received a new charter with a presentation by Governor Don Wilson of Fort Worth.
