New Kaspar Wire Works Building To Expand Shiner Plant

A 100 by 100 foot steel building is planned for Kaspar Wire Works in Shiner to add 10 000 square feet, bringing total under roof to 63 000. The facility includes an endless conveyor from the plating plant, a two truck loading dock, 20 skylights, 102 windows, and a ridge ventilator to improve airflow. The expansion aims to support gradual growth without immediate business expansion.

Schulenburg Girl Dies From Car Crash Injuries

Gertrude Ann Miksch 22 of Schulenburg died at 6 15 am Tuesday August 28 1962 at Santa Rosa Hospital San Antonio from injuries suffered in a August 19 crash near the Fayette Lavaca county line. She had skull fractures and concussion and had been unconscious since the accident. She was to marry August 25 to Eugene Vogt. Funeral services were held at Schwenke Baumgarten Funeral Home and St Rose Church Schulenburg with burial in the church cemetery. Survived by parents Gus Miksch Jr and two brothers Edgar Rosenberg and Daniel Schulenburg and sisters Mrs I J Pavilicek and Rose Miksch.

Cotton Receipts Chronicle at Shiner Compress and Warehouse

Trail Riders Trek To Moulton
