Public Weigher L M Roeder Reports Bales Weighed

Cotton receipts recorded by public weigher L M Roeder show 5181 bales weighed up to Tuesday night September 4. The same date last year accounted for 3336 bales, indicating increased activity.

Death of Harry Boehl at local hospital

Harry Boehl born August 20 1911 at El Campo Wharton county died in the early hours Friday at the local hospital after years of suffering from nervous attacks. He lived in Shiner except for treatment in Abilene. Funeral services Sunday at home then Weimar with burial in Masonic cemetery. Survived by three brothers Adolf Edmund Henry and three sisters Mrs Emil Behlen Miss Hertha and Miss Wilma Boehl. An infant sister Hilda died in Galveston and another sister Leona died four years ago. Pallbearers listed and many flowers at the graveside. The Gazette extends sympathy to the family. Also ad for One and one half ton Dodge truck with oak cab and grain body from Smith Motor Co Gonzales Texas.
