The Catholic ceremony took place on Monday November 24 as Mike Pesek married Clara Hummel. Attending were her father Albin Hummel and Mrs Hajek with Henrietta the bride’s aunt and cousin. Mrs Hajek played the wedding march.
Mrs Natalie Trautwein led a Friday program with a chorus and motion songs, readings by Zappe Schulze Gray and Berckenhoff, and a list of Thanksgiving themed pieces performed by students. The program closed with a final chorus and the high school rendition of Hi-Hilly-Ho.
Kasper Reif married at Shiner’s Catholic Church on Tuesday November 25. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Father Machan. Kasper and Emma Reif, both from Shiner, were blessed and praised by the community.
Arthur Rabe and Adele Mewes wed at the Lutheran Church on a Tuesday afternoon at 2 30. The Rev W Dziewas officiated as the couple, prominent locals in Xinx, celebrated with a generous reception at their home following the ceremony.

Harrison Kuykendall an employee of Rogge Gin Co is jailed on a forgery charge. Authorities say he signed Rogge Gin Co to thirteen checks at a local bank and cashed amounts from 8 to 20 dollars totaling about 137 dollars. Kuykendall denies knowledge of the deed and says he was indicted for forgery. His examining trial occurred yesterday.
Arthur Hahnke was killed in an accidental death in Victoria last Friday. The report notes the fatal incident occurred in the city and authorities are issuing no further details at this time.
