Gonzales Trucker Dies From Accident Injuries
Kenneth R. Long, 27, of 225 McClure Gonzales died following injuries from a Sunday morning crash on SH 10 near Seguin. His cattle truck veered off, struck a guardrail, and fell from a bridge. Twenty of 28 cattle died. Funeral services were held in Yoakum with burial at Salem Cemetery. Survivors include wife Kathy and three sons, plus parents and several siblings.

FCC Suspends All CB License Fees Starting 1977
The FCC will suspend collection of all CB license fees effective January 1, 1977 following a court ruling that the agency must justify its fees. Fees may resume later once a cost basis is established. Citizens may obtain CB licenses at no charge for now and are urged to order CB Rules and Regulations for $1.50 from the Consumer Information Center.
