Relatives gathered Sunday June 9 at Mr. and Mrs. Theo Wenske home in Moulton to celebrate Mrs. Wenske’s 70th and Mr. Wenske’s 75th birthdays. It marked the first time all descendants were present with many gifts, photos, and a double angel food cake at a luncheon.
Miss Nancy Ann Haas and Otto Lee Bilski were married at Saints Cyril and Methodius Church Shiner on Saturday May 11 1968 at 2 30 PM in a double ring ceremony. The couple of Houston will reside in Houston and the bride is a Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas employee in Houston.
Hermann Sons Meet in Shiner Lodge No. 20 regular session led by President Edgar Kram on June 17. Five members transferred from Moulton Lodge, attendance, by laws discussed, May Fest praised, one executive officer absent, new member accepted, 60 year badge awarded to Emilie Stratmann, and June birthdays celebrated.

Flora L Ray RN director of nursing spoke about nursing homes services and federal changes. Visiting Rotarians included Phil Pigues George Holmes Joe Pearson and others. The Otto and Henry Henkhaus families held their annual reunion June 2 at Lucian Rainer home El Campo with 67 attendees from multiple Texas cities. Shiner relatives will host next year’s reunion.
