The Panus Orchestra provided the music for the wedding march and reception dances. XX Century Club Meeting Opens With ’42 Games

Commercial Club Pledges Drive for Local Highway Route
At a recent Commercial Club meeting a committee was named to arrange a barbecue and another to promote a highway from Smithville to Yoakum via Cistern Flatonia Moulton Shiner. The Catholic Ladies Aid society met on Tuesday June 2 at Mrs. Peter Kuhn’s home with twenty two members present. Guests included Mesdames Haber macher Rogge Her der Brosch Tomasco Koerner Vogelsang Riha and Pohler and Misses Schaefer and Lillian Fehrenkamp. Lunch of ice tea cake and sandwiches was served. Mrs Ad Brosch won a box of Almond Cold Cream powder after all chances were sold. A neat sum was collected as visitors left.
