Colquitt Wins Big as Texas Returns Rally Behind Peace
Returns across the state show Colquitt winning by at least 60 000 votes and peace promised. The lieutenant governor race was close with A B Davidson and Bascom Thomas both defeated. C L Stavinoha is county attorney Wm Eilers county superintendent and W T Bagby E Gieptner are representatives. Sheriff race between Munson and Houchins was tight with Houchins prevailing. Other races had no opposition and full votes.
