Two Fort Hood divisions the 49th Armored National Guard and the 90th Infantry Division Organized Reserve Corps wrapped two weeks of summer training. Parades at North and South Fort highlighted the event with Governor Allan Shivers and Maj. Gen. Albert Sidney Johnson in attendance. Brig. Gen. Arthur P. Watson led the 90th Infantry review as Col. Herman R. Siemers directed First Armored help.

He started with Oklahoma City then moved to Temple and was sold to the Lake Charles Lakers. Report by Joe Strauss notes Vic beat Brownsville and Laredo, easing control but showing form. Voters Approve Tax Bond Assumption in Shiner ISD Election
One hundred twenty voters went to the polls Monday to approve the tax and bond assumption proposed by the Shiner Independent School District for the maintenance of public free schools.
