In San Antonio last week Emil Baumgarten defeated the G. H. a S. A. R. R. with a verdict of $10000. The case arose from a defective culvert on the defendant's premises. It collapsed as Mrs. Baumgarten drove over it, causing her to be thrown from her buggy.
