Stores To Close For Independence Day Celebration

Mil business houses will close all day next Monday for the Independence Day celebration. Shoppers are urged to buy supplies Saturday as no further opportunity will exist until Tuesday morning. Help merchants and employees close the town for the holiday.

Liberty Bell Service Opens July Celebration

Mon day morning all business houses closed for the Echo of the Liberty Bell service. Mayor Runk rang the first bell at 11 11 to signal five minutes of city bells. Kolar Stanek Post and Boy Scouts led a parade to Welhausen Park with the American Legion raising Old Glory and reading President Coolidge's proclamation. The legion pledged the flag and the salute. Larger cities plan a week for Action's 150th birthday with daily programs. Mayor Rank announces opening day and the Legion ends the week on Monday July 5 with an all day celebration.

Cold dessert shop reopens with new equipment

Due to delays in fixtures arrival the ice cream and fountain service was briefly down. The shop is now ready with Sherbet cups Kiddie drinks and a range of ice creams and cold beverages. A scheme for new customers is announced.
