Mrs Susana Mari, a 70 year old widow living alone near the Catholic Church, died suddenly while sitting in her chair on Monday January 19. Her remains were interred at the Catholic Cemetery on Wednesday the 21, with Rev Father X Wolf conducting the obsequies.

Paris police said Henri Landru’s Gambais villa, linked to the alleged serial killer, was sold to a Paris businessman for 50,000 francs. Prewar value was 10,000 francs. Landru is accused of luring and disposing of numerous women after hosting twelve fiancées at the property.
