Man Charged In Liquor Store Robbery
Michael Caine, 27, is charged with armed robbery in the December 17 Matula No. 2 Liquor Store heist in Hallettsville. He faces $10,000 bond, will appear before Grand Jury, with Police crediting unified local and county agencies. Roznovsky Retires as County Commissioner in 1977

Dove Season Reopens Jan 1 After Brief Midseason Close
The dove hunting season reopened January 1, 1977 and will run through January 16 following a short mid-season closure. The initial open season began in September 1976.
