Death of Chas Pfeil Sr Brought by Grippe
Chas Pfeil Sr died last Thursday night after weeks of illness from la grippe and other diseases. He was 57, a Lavaca county resident for 25 years, and left a wife and four grown sons. A Hermann Sons member, Rev. Win Dziewas conducted graveside rites at Hermann Sons Cemetery Friday at 4 pm. The funeral drew a large crowd in Shiner. The Gazette extends sympathy to the family.

Kram Ruhmann Wed Quietly at Ruhmann Home
The marriage of Willie Kram and Ida Ruhmann took place Tuesday evening February 26 at 5 PM at the Ruhmann home with Squire J C Habermacher officiating. Only immediate family attended and a nice supper followed. The couple will reside on the Kram farm near Shiner. well wishes flow from the town.

Death by own action at Moulton Texas shocks town
Bod Krechmer died by his own hand in Moulton Texas Saturday, shooting himself with an 88 Smith & Wesson revolver. Residents recall a prior suicide attempt a year ago and rumor this may have been his fifth such act.

Delayed from last week, Mrs Fred Krueger of Yoakum visited relatives here. About 25 masks attended the masquerade ball on the 9th with Miss Mary Heinrich winning first prize. The Moulton Juvenile Band provided music. An attempt to wreck trains occurred on the 10th as a north bound freight ran over a tie, injuring two slightly. attackers moved five more ties north of the crossing.
