Amos G. Shows 75 died after a long illness. Funeral services were held last Saturday afternoon in Cuero with Rev. M. R. Soileau officiating. Burial was in Hebron cemetery. He was married 63 years to Margaret Robbins. Nine of their twelve children survive along with his wife, including Mamie Day Emma McDonald Ora Schultz Julius Harley Willie and Freeman of Cuero Lottie Korbel of Corpus Christi and Mrs. Herbert Runk of Shiner. Twenty four grandchildren three brothers and one sister also survive.
