Burial Rites Held for Mrs Henrietta Mozisek
Funeral services for 52 year old Mrs Henrietta L Mozisek were held at Buffington Chapel Yoakum February 16 at 2 00 p m with Rev Edwin Oehlke officiating. Burial followed at Shiner Cemetery. She died February 14 from a sudden heart attack. Survivors include husband Gus A Mozisek of Yoakum two sons Herbert and Moritz Laake, several siblings and six grandchildren.

Shiner High Band Invades San Antonio for Rodeo Event
Shiner High School Band of 43 students directed by Robert W. Taylor traveled to San Antonio on February 16–17 for the San Antonio Livestock Exposition and Rodeo. They joined about fifty bands for a morning parade on North Alamo Street and an afternoon matinee at the Coliseum, enjoying shows and musical entertainment while chaperoned by Supt. Neal B. Fox and others.

Reported half inch rainfall Wednesday failed to materialize into a weekend rain. A light drizzle was quickly absorbed by a fresh wind and cold weather moderated. Farmers who plowed in anticipation of moisture were disappointed as no significant precipitation occurred.
A Molnoskey 13 dies. rites held Monday
Albert Molnoskey aged 13 son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe A Molnoskey of Route 3 Shiner died February 15 at home after a long illness. He was a St Ludmila’s Academy sixth grader born near Gonzales October 2 1937. Survivors include parents five brothers and two grandmothers. Funeral from the family home February 19 to Shiner Catholic Church for Requiem High Mass at 9 00 a m. Burial in Shiner Catholic Cemetery. Service by Buffett. Pallbearers and flower girls named. Sympathy offered to family and relatives.

Frank Emil Tomasko a well known Shiner resident, died in Yoakum February 14 at 61 years. Rites were at Buffington Chapel Yoakum and St Joseph Church, burial in Shiner City Cemetery. Survived by son C J Tomasko, brother Emil, foster sister Mary Gardiner. preceded by parents, three brothers, and a sister. He lived in Moulton before 1916, ran a drug business, later painted and decorated, lived in Yoakum since 1944.
