Death of Mrs Hartmann in Dreyer area at 23
Mrs Ella Hartmann of Route No 2 near Dreyer died February 17 after a week of illness. She leaves a husband and a one year old daughter, and her parents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marburger survive. Born June 16 1895 in Breslau she was 23. Funeral was Monday in Shiner. Reverend Dziewas officiated at the city cemetery.

High School Athletic Day Set With Local Meet
Weather permitting the high school will host an afternoon of athletics on campus Thursday inviting the public. Events include races, jumps, and a double head basketball game with Yoakum. Activities start 2 PM with basketball at 3 30 PM. Our boys lost a close game at Yoakum last Friday and hope to rebound here. Miss Irma Smith returns to school after three days with measles, Miss Leonide Schuhman substituting.

Yoakum Texas February 17 Rev John W Schwab a longtime Presbyterian minister died suddenly of heart failure Saturday afternoon while shopping in a local store. He was 60 and survived by his wife five children brothers and sisters with family spread through Yoakum Cuero Marlin Corpus Christi Divers and Northwest Texas.
