Trial of Clarence Williams Tests Moulton Witnesses

The examining trial for Clarence Williams accused of stealing a suit from Julings Kotzebue and a grip from W. H. Lakey, plus other misdemeanors, was held by Squire Townsend. Kotzebue, Arnim, Baur and Dockery testified about the clothes and Williams possession. Hawkins testified to the theft from a hotel. Williams was placed under bond to await grand jury action.

Hon CG R Clark, U S postoffice inspector, visited Moulton to inspect the local postoffice. Jno Crouch, the postmaster, is up to date. Carpenters are rebuilding F J Knesek’s hardware store after a fire and plan to reopen soon. Chas Miculka, Bartender at Henry Etlinger’s saloon, is ill, leaving Etlinger to manage the bar and act as beer agent and butcher. Jno Michan of Schulenburg and his wife are residents.
