Delayed letter from Lone Tree reports farmers preparing soil for a new crop. Mrs. Jim Jurach and sister Rosa Herehek visited kinfolk in several towns and returned home last Friday. Weekend travels include visits by Mr and Mrs Horky to Wied for a birthday party. A Bohemian theatre night and a masquerade ball at Turner hall are announced for February 2 and February 11 respectively. Rain is hoped for gardens.

Mrs Jacob Tomasco traveled to Shiner on Wednesday to visit relatives while Miss Emmie Bohnenkamp returned Sunday from Shiner. The board of trustees met at the Sam and Will Moore Institute last Friday evening. Miss Bertha Oehl of Shiner visited her parents Mr and Mrs Aug Oehl and other relatives. Emil Mladenka and family of Schulenburg spent Sunday with John Mladenka and family. Insurance man Joe Kunetka of Shiner was in town several days last week on business. Joe is popular among locals and friends.
