Santa retreats when the Biggest Boy interrupts, but the ring reappears at dawn with a hopeful note attached.
William Loeb Jr approved Richard Parr’s claim for a moiety of the $2,135,486 restitution paid by American Sugar Refining Co after a sugar weighing fraud discovery on November 20 1907. Parr will likely receive about $700000 under current law and rulings, with government and other parties sharing the rest after deductions.
