Christmas Services in the Catholic Church

Monsignor L P Netardus announces Christmas services with multiple Masses beginning Sunday at midnight and continuing through the day with English and Czechoslovak sermons. Confessions are scheduled Friday and Saturday and all communicants must fast from 8 p m for midnight Mass. Donations go to the diocesan seminary and orphanage.

The church lists no Sunday School with Divine Service at 9 30 a m in English and German. Rev G Walter preaches in German and Rev R Schuetze in English. A Christmas program at City Hall drew over 600 people and aimed to serve the community with the Christmas Spirit and Peace on Earth Goodwill Among Men.

Christian Science Lesson for December 25

Funeral for Louise Matula Held in Schulenburg

Miss Louise Matula age 48 died Thursday at St. Joseph's Infirmary Houston and was buried in Catholic Cemetery Schulenburg. Attending the service were Mr. and Mrs. Arno Wagener and Glenn.

Funeral Attendees in Schulenburg for Miss Annie Pannewitz

Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Wolters and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Lichey and Mrs. John Henkhaus attended the funeral of Miss Annie Pannewitz in Schulenburg on Saturday after her sudden death in the city. The 64 year old native of High Hill was the sister of the late G. A. Pannewitz, a former local photographer. Additional attendees included Mr. and Mrs. Max Wolters and Mrs. Gus Wolters.

Christmas Tree Program Brightens City Auditorium

The Lutheran Sunday School held a full house Christmas program in the City Auditorium last Sunday. Charlie Kasper led the Young Musicians with prayers and scripture readings by Rev R Schuetze. Speeches drills playlets and a Santa Claus visit followed, ending with gift distributions to pupils and teachers.
