County Agent Appointed by La Vaca County Court
The La Vaca County commissioners court met in special session and appointed Geo. W. Johnson farm demonstrator as county agent, with John M. Parts accompanying, to start duties around December 10. In 1928 the court set aside 1380 as the county's share of the agent’s salary, with state and federal funds totaling 1600 to cover the balance. the government’s appointed agent, having three years of field experience, currently works in Bell County.

Man Killed When Car Turns Over Near Alice
George Syamken died instantly and J O Otto Schmidt was slightly injured when Schmidt’s car overturned a few miles north of Alice on Saturday night.
