Attorney Sam Sehwarts, Esq, is in Halletaville this week for proceedings in the county court session, participating in the legal matters scheduled there.
Students at Shiner Public School staged a Thanksgiving program in the large primary room. A wall flag and wreath formed the backdrop as grades 5 through 8 joined in a sequence of anthems, recitations, songs, and basket harvests reflecting the harvest season with many pupils and visiting attendees.
The Teachers Institute met at the Public school house in Shiner on Saturday morning November 30 at 10 o'clock. Poor roads limited attendance but the program was followed with interest and attendees welcomed the time change for Rural schools. Participants included Bertha Thornton Vera Tucker Lizzie Kavanagh Lizzie Kyle F G Schmidt Jansen and Prof W R Muir conductor. Next meeting set for January 5 at 10 am with Psychology on Presentation as the topic.

Hur ry boys and do some voting. The little child Mabel of Herman Hagemeister was kicked in the face by a horse last Tuesday evening and badly bruised. The child strayed into the horse lot and was hit by the animal. She is under doctor care and doing as well as could be expected.
