Koenning and Mueller Tie In Dreyer Lutheran Church

A large Dreyer community wedding united Miss Irma Mueller and Mr. William J. Koenning at 3 p m in the Lutheran Church. Rev. Richard Schuetze officiated with a ring ceremony as bouquets and asters adorned the sanctuary. The bridal party included El la Koenning, Leona Mueller, and Erna Fehner with gardenia hair ornaments.

Katmann Plageman Tie The Knot In San Antonio

Miss Annie Louise Plageman and John E. Katmann quietly married at 7 30 p m Saturday in San Antonio at the home of Rev A E Rector with Rev Rector reading the service. Santa to Visit Shiner on Friday December 3

The Business Men's Club of Shiner sponsors a Christmas Tree and program at the S P Depot intersections. A large tree with colored lights will be erected and Mayor Richter says Santa will arrive at 6 P M with gifts for children 12 and under who attend to receive free gift packs while Schultz Band provides music.

Thanksgiving Supper At Blucher Park Proves Successful

The Turkey Supper sponsored by the local K. J. Z. T. at Blucher Park on Thanksgiving Day drew a large crowd and raised gross receipts of 385.85 with 221.85 cleared for the organizer.

Otto Castelle 34 dies suddenly in Victoria

Otto Castelle aged 34 of Victoria died Wednesday noon from a heart attack and was buried Friday at St Joseph Cemetery Yoakum. Funeral conducted by Father A E Beck at St Joseph Church. Survived by wife Vivian and daughter Rose Vivian, parents Louis and Mrs Castelle, brother Henry, four sisters, and extended relatives. Local condolences extended.

Mrs Wolfsdorff remembered as devoted minister’s wife

Obituary notes the passing of Mrs. Arendine Wolfsdorff wife of Rev. W C Wolfsdorff. Born Sept 18 1869 in the Netherlands she endured hardship after her parents drowned at sea. She married in Galveston Oct 17 1895 and served alongside her husband in Yoakum Shiner and Weesatche. Funeral held Thanksgiving Day with multiple ministers in attendance.
