Rev. Wolfsdorf resigns after twenty six years as pastor of the Yoakum Lutheran church and will stay until a successor is found. He begins a charge at Shiner and has maintained near perfect accord with his congregation during a long tenure.

The Senior and Junior Epworth Leaguers presented a Thanksgiving program that drew a large audience. Children performed well under Miss Carlyn Trautwein’s guidance. A free-will offering of 13 dollars was collected for the Methodist Orphans Home at Waco.

The Jennings Company presents The Band The Minister in Shiner to a crowded audience. Performances featured careful acting with no buffoonery and a mirror to nature. Scenery and heating are praised as better than many modern opera houses. The show promises full houses all week.
