A 9 pound baby girl was born Sunday to Mr. and Mrs. Victor Pulkrabek, their first child. Edith Dreyer is the mother. Geraldine is the name chosen. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Stevens welcomed an 8 pound baby boy, a Thanksgiving Gift, with Adela Mueller as the mother. C. M. Koerner announced William Edward Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Proctor of Coldwater Kansas, born November 9 weighing 9 pounds. Pearl Niemann, former Shiner resident, is the mother. The Proctors have been married 19 years and have an adopted son. Mrs Wm Riske Sr dies after two year illness at 71
Mrs Lena Goe bel Riske Sr passed away at her Charlottenburg home on Saturday at 12 30 pm following a two year illness. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 30 pm at the family home with Rev Wm Flachmeier and Rev R Schuetze officiating. Interment was in Shiner City Cemetery beside her husband. She leaves five children Wm Jr Bertha Hulda E F Riske and Adela Oeltjen, six grandchildren and one sister Mrs Emma Krebs. Her husband preceded her in death seven years ago. The Gazette extends sympathy to the bereaved.

Tragic Thanksgiving Crash Claims San Antonio Woman
Mrs. Henry L. Thulemeyer of San Antonio was fatally injured in a two car wreck one mile west of Flatonia on November 23 at 6 pm. Driver Mrs. Keeter and seven occupants rode home toFlatonia for Thanksgiving. Mrs. Thulemeyer died at Shiner Hospital at 11:30 pm. She leaves a husband, daughter Mary Elizabeth, 2 1/2, her parents and three sisters.
