Parallel Terrace Systems For Conservation
Parallel terrace systems expand soil and water conservation in the Lavaca district by reducing point rows and enabling older fields to be terraced. Since 1956 about 225 miles have been built with similar costs to conventional terraces, offering easier farming, cheaper waterways, and lower maintenance while saving time, labor, and fuel.
