Bernard James Pustejovsky, age 2 years 3 months, son of Mr and Mrs Fred Pustejovsky of Hallettsville, died at Renger Hospital after two weeks illness and an intestinal operation. Funeral from the family home and Holy Mass at Sacred Heart Church, interment Hallettsville Catholic Cemetery. Survivors include parents a sister Annie Marie a brother Freddie and grandparents Julius Pustejovsky Louis Chudej. Funeral directed by Eschenburg Funeral Home Shiner.
Miss Ruth Tydeman daughter of Dallas residents wed Dr. Lester W. Raab at St Edward s Catholic Church with Father Daly officiating. Bride wore blue crepe with cocoa accessories, witnessed by Clarence Raab and Franklin Bilimek. They will reside in Corpus Christi after a brief trip. both have local high school and Baylor Dental College ties.
A Cuero merchant received a forged twenty by combining a real twenty on one side with a real one on the other. A swindler pasted the halves to create two counterfeit twenties, prompting caution when handling money from strangers.

The United Dr. Martin Luther Church has installed new equipment for displaying religious films in visualized training. A special film will be shown Sunday night May 2 at 8 p.m. and the public is invited to attend.
Bohdan Janak and Victoria Roeder announce the birth of their son Lawrence John at Robstown Hospital on April 12. Baptized at St James Catholic Church in Bishop, the baby weighs 10 ounces and 0 pounds. Sponsors were Leo Triska of El Campo. Alvin J Boehm also announces a son born April 20 at the local hospital weighing 9 pounds 9 ounces.
At the Game and Fish Reserve grounds the Business Men's Club holds its regular meeting tonight at 7 30. Members are asked to bring a bowl and spoon.
Military rites are announced for Tech Sgt Adolph Petras who was killed in action in France August 15 1944 at age 25 years 2 months and 14 days. Services will be held April 24 at 8 45 am from Eschenburg Funeral Parlor thence to Shiner Catholic Church for Requiem High Mass at 9 am. Rosary will be recited April 28 at 7 30 pm. Survivors include his parents three sisters and one brother.

Rev Edwin J Oehlke and the Shi ner congregation invite nearby church members to a May 2 viewing of The Power of God a visually instructional religious film. Baptist and Methodist groups praise it as outstanding and well worthwhile across the state with other denominations securing second bookings.
Viola Schreiber and Adolf Hanzelka were married Monday at 8 AM in United Lutheran Church with Rev Ed win Oehlke officiating. The couple will reside in Yoakum after a mutton barbecue at the bride’s home.
The pool at Sulphur Park opens Sunday April 25 with free dance, good music, barbecue and refreshments. All are welcome.

Mrs. Ida Muecke nee Ida Gehrels 77 died April 17 at home. Funeral services were conducted April 19 at 3 p m from Eschenburg Funeral Parlor with interment in City Cemetery. Survived by daughter Viola Laura Schulz and two grandsons Melvin and James Muecke.
