Shiner School Trustees Re-elect Superintendent Leslie
The Shiner Independent School Board held an April meeting and re elected T. H. Leslie as superintendent for the 1930 31 term. Otto Dreyer is president Peter Kuhn vice president and H G Hollman secretary. Teachers for grades will be chosen in May as the school year ends.

Recital by Shiner High music and expression departments
Saturday night the High School auditorium was filled to capacity for the term's closing recital. An innovation featured native flowers in vases and floor baskets. about forty participants including the junior orchestra performed. Mrs. S A Thulemeyer led the music department with nationality themed costumes. Mrs. Arthur Kaspar led the expression department with costume effects. Both instructors earned praise for their students' efforts and Shiner High values their services.

Deacon Dubbs A Rural Comedy Draws Big Night Crowd
A three act rural comedy Deacon Dubbs staged at Henkhaus Hall Thursday night drew a large crowd from Shiner Moulton Hallettsville and nearby areas. Excellent stage scenery purchased for 425 from Mr Ed Horak of Weimar enhanced the performance and the Evergreen School PTA and local merchants helped fund it. The Boursville orchestra provided continuous music and receipts exceeded 130 for Evergreen School.
