Death of P. D. Smith Known Local Pioneer in Texas
John Rule, known as P. D. Smith, died Tuesday after years of illness. A former stockman who arrived after the Civil War, he built substantial holdings and died intestate with a will changing to relatives in Kansas Illinois and Texas. Remains buried at City Cemetery with Rev W J Johnson officiating. W L Martin named executor.
