Shiner pitchers Baker and Turek held Refugio to six hits as the Brewers rallied in the eighth for an 8 to 6 victory. Lavaca County votes 40000 in road bonds plan
In Hallettsville April 9 voters in Lavaca County district two approved 40000 in special bonds to improve lateral roads. With a WPA grant the project could exceed 150000 total. Two and a half miles of road on each side of the Yoakum Hallettsville Schulenburg highway from South Mustang Creek to the Lavaca Fayette line will be affected. The tally was 390 for 93 against.
