A San Marcos correspondent reports baseball results against Coronal and other schools with scores including San Marcos 8 Coronal 4 and Coronal 16 Normal 3. He notes Roy Ganly as Coronal’s pitcher, mentions a tacky party at the Normal, and recalls a Sunday depot excursion and greetings from Annie and Lillie Bednar.
Little Miss Annie Lee Allen visits Wm. McMurry. Sallie Thompson of Monseratt visits Mrs. Parish. George Thompson returns to Houston. E R Mauldin and Mrs. Pincke go to Shiner. Mr and Mrs W E Stapp visit C Franks. Delegation attends ball and feast in Shiner. Alex Stoermer of Yoakum seen on streets. Earnest Kuenstler and family visit E H Kuestler. J C Koerth makes business trip to Yoakum. School trustees elected P A Franks and Prof W E Rabb. New officers elected for Sweet Home Musical Society. 30 members. Crops look fine. farmers wear possum grin. Joe Sykora's mother ill three weeks. wishes for speedy recovery. Sunday School will be attended. best wishes to Gazette readers.
