Emil Gold the tombstone agent left for Schulenburg Tuesday. Dr F W Ledbetter of Halletsville left for home Saturday afternoon. County Judge Gray of Halletsville wags in the city Sunday and Monday. Mesdames Braunkenhoefer and Kotzebue spent time with relatives in Shiner. The Moulton institute sent the county tatle in Halttsville last Friday and Saturday. Mrs A M Kotzebue and Miss Lizzie Hegel left Friday noon. Profs C A Peterson and A Markovsky traveled the countryside in cowboy fashion.

Teachers' Institute Draws Attentive Crowd at Halletsville

The Teachers Institute held Friday and Saturday March 27 and 28 drew good attendance from Shiner district schools though none from Shiner school itself. Prizes awarded to pupils included Mamie Smith and Frank Macha of Shiner, Robert Welting of Green school, and aliases Louie Huebner Eddie Wendel Louis Blume among adults.

Land transactions near Wohlfart tract reported in Gonzales Inquirer

Kiameadd Allen of Hovs-Plage made a deal with a builder owning land near the Wohlfart tract about four acres for ten dollars and $200. Reports say transfers proceed with weekly arrivals. Another transfer shows Mr. Gaston selling to BEd of Houston for 400 per acre, near the well on the Wohlfart tract where operations began.
