Easter Rites A Moulton Stages Seventy Annual Celebration

Moulton plans Easter festivities April 10 inviting 10000 visitors including Agriculture Commissioner John C White and state officials. The day features sunrise services, a noon family luncheon at Veteran's Park with German Czech foods, an afternoon address by White, cultural bands, an Easter hunt for kids, and a dinner dance with C T Johnson as MC.

Release Your Unused Cotton Acreage Lavaca County

Lavaca County farmers are urged to plant their full cotton allotment or release unused acreage to keep credit for 1956. Failure to plant 90 percent or release will cost the acres in 1956. Time extended to release cotton acreage

The County Committee extends the period for farmers to release part or all of their 1955 cotton acreage allotment if not planting cotton in 1955. Release forms must be signed at the county office by the deadline, with released acreage distributed on April 15 under Chairman Fred Henneke of Lavaca County ASC.

Rev Horwood Relapse Confines Pastor and Palm Sunday Services

The Methodist Church records regret that Rev. S R Horwood suffered a relapse Friday night and remains bedridden. His son Rev Stanley K Horwood leads the schedule, opening Palm Sunday services and preaching at his father's appointment. Stanley spoke Tuesday at La Grange Methodist Church with Dr J W Connolly presiding.

Parents seeking to enroll a child in a school outside the home district for the 1955 56 term must file a written transfer application with the County Superintendent before June list. Applies to students both above and within the home district grade levels.

Decoration Day Services Planned for City Cemetery

Mrs S Kutach Dies in Galveston

Funeral arrangements were pending for Mrs Sylvester Kutach of Hallettsville after she died early Wednesday in Galveston. Her body will rest in state at Kabena Funeral Home in Hallettsville. She was the mother of Mrs Emil Huser of Shiner.

Funeral services were held in Moulton Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. W. F. Eilert Lizzie Eilert who died after a brief illness in Gonzales Crews Hospital. She was the mother of Fred Eilert of Shiner. A fuller obituary will appear in the next issue.

Funeral services for Mrs. C. A. Edith Pearson 76 of Flatonia proceed from Smith Funeral Home to the Flatonia Methodist Church at ten o clock with burial in Flatonia City Cemetery.
