Deaths of Mrs Annie Hvichak and Mrs C M Wararek

Mrs Annie Hvichak mother of C K and Steve Holchak and Mrs C M Wararek died last Sunday at 75. Born in Austria she came to America in 1855 and lived in Kreixburg Colorado county before moving to Austin county where Holchak died in 1861. She later moved to Shiner with daughter Mrs GC M Karasek in 1896 and remained there until death.

Monument Unveiling Planned for Deceased Sovereign Eschenburg

At Half Moon Camp Woodmen of the World last meeting a monument to deceased sovereign G C Eschenburg was approved with a committees of arrangements named J C Habermacher M E Wolters John Stulting G F Rubmann John Blehm and Eat Leckman. The unveiling is set for April 21 with neighboring lodges invited and a special meeting on April 5 to finalize plans.

Woodmen lodge appoints committees for unveiling ceremonies

The Woodmen lodge special committee named sub committees for reception and refreshments after last Friday night’s unveiling. Jake Wolters of LaGrange chosen as orator and Jaegeli as reader. Members must attend the April 4 meeting, chaired by J C Habermacher.

Jolly Roamers Comedy Company to Perform in Shiner

The Jolly Roamers will perform Thursday and Friday nights under canvass on the grounds beside the Union Hotel in Shiner. The company has fifteen cast members and presents a full theatrical show with the Cineograph moving pictures. Admission is 15 and 20 cents.
