German Night at Shiner High School on April 9

The German department of Shiner High School presents a German night on Friday April 9 in the high school auditorium. The program features the play Uebung Macht den Meister, German band music directed by Mr. Othold, and songs including The Beautiful Blue Danube Waltz. Accused Slayer Succumbs in Self Inflicted Gunshot

San Antonio reports J W Willeford of Hallettsville died in Robert B Green Memorial Hospital at 9 05 a m Thursday after a murder spree that left his wife Teresa Willeford and daughter Lillie Dufner dead on March 16. He had been sought by police since the killings and was found with two bullet wounds in the head at an East Commerce Street hotel on March 22. He died after being moved from the Hammond Hotel where he registered under his name claiming fatigue. Surviving are a son Eli Willeford and four daughters plus 10 grandchildren.
