Noblesville Indiana September 29 1921 four men are under arrest on charges of receiving stolen goods with several stolen automobiles recovered. Wills Humbert Cantwell and Saunders in jail or out on bond. Recovered cars include an Essex sedan a Norwell a Buick a Hal a Oakland. Detectives from Chicago helped and more cars may be found as the drag net extends through northern Indiana and into Ohio.

Sheridan Gas Company strikes a productive well south of town
The Sheridan Gas Company drilled a good well on the Mrs Tile Kincaid farm three miles south of Sheridan. The well shows 200 pounds pressure and was struck at 1040 feet in Trenton rock. A second hole is being drilled near the grove. The first well is a wet hole with water. A one mile pipeline is needed to connect to Sheridan. The new well promises ample supply in severe winter.

The town board passes an ordinance requiring cars on Main Street to park at a forty five degree angle to create more space for traffic. Previously cars parked at any angle at the driver’s whim. Painted lines in other towns reinforce this plan.
Courier Car Arrives Thursday for Indianapolis Exposition
George W. Scott, treasurer clerk, reports a courier car from the Indianapolis Industrial Ex position will reach the town hall next Thursday at 1 45 pm. The exposition at the State Fairgrounds runs October 10 to 15 to advertise products made in the capital city.

Runaway Boy Caught After Robbery at Burton & Mace
A fourteen year old boy entered a Sheridan area Burton & Mace grocery through a rear window Saturday night and took about $18. Police intercepted him on the Frankfort train at 8:30 A M. Most money was returned with some cigarettes. the store declined prosecution. The boy had threatened to leave home after inquiries by his father.

Sophia Lovell 57 wife of Andrew M. Lovell died at Noblesville hospital after a six week illness. She had been a cook at the Noblesville hospital for two years. Funeral and interment were held with survivors including children Mrs. Maude Mayes George Lovell Chester Carroll John Julia and Alice Lovell and four grandchildren.
