Death from Paralysis Claims Mrs. Burton at Home
Mrs. Marinda Burton wife of Sam Burton died at her home south west of Sekin Thursday night from paralysis after months of ill health and a two week confinement. She was sixty four and survived by husband one daughter Mrs. W. E. Phillips of Winnamae and one son Bernie of near Elkin. Funeral services were at East Union Sunday with burial nearby.

Young Man Injured In Cog Wheel Accident At Symons Sorghum Plant
George Whicker, about 22, fell or jumped into a six foot cog wheel at the Symons Sorghum factory on South Georgia Street while attempting to fix a machine. He was taken for first aid, then to a home, and finally to Long Hospital in Indianapolis with severe injuries and a poor prognosis.

Engine Fire Destroys Farm Building Near Sheridan
Late Thursday an overheated engine caused a blaze in the engine room of the L. S. Kercheval farm three miles northeast of Sheridan. The structure and contents burned before officials could control it, but help from silo fillers and Sheridan residents with a chemical engine prevented spread to nearby buildings.

Fire at Atlanta Factory Burns Worker and Rescuers
James Scott of Atlanta was severely burned Saturday while lighting a fire under a gasoline soldering outfit at the canning factory. Workmen in the factory were burned about the hands while rescuing Scott. the blaze threw the employer into a panic and the building caught fire.

Albert Stark Dies at 94 in Boone County Home
Albert Stark aged ninety four died Tuesday morning at his son J R Stark’s home west of Sheridan Boone County from senility or old age. He was buried Thursday at Mt Run cemetery. He married in 1841 and leaves seven children.
