Sheridan Eyes Purdue Short Course For Farmers
A Sheridan meeting discussed bringing a Purdue University Farmers Short Course to town. Sheridan Schools Open Monday for Record Attendance
Sheridan schools opened Monday with strong attendance in both grades and high school. Enrollment at the North and South buildings is full, despite a smaller high school class this year due to fewer local eighth graders. The new vocational program is starting well and expected to grow, preparing students for future trades. Since a purge show requires early dismissal Friday to view community exhibits.

Monon railroad honors two workers with silver medals
Jas Laughlin and John Hubbard of this place received silver medals on Monday for faithful service to the Monon railroad. The medals feature a likeness of old No 9 and include their names and start date in 1886 along with a letter of commendation.

Sheridan Horse Fair Show Draws Large Attendance
Horse lovers flock to Sheridan for a busy fair with many entries in the horse department led by heavier classes. Participants travel from Carmel Westfield Noblesville Cicero Jowett Eagletown and other towns with ribbons won at state fairs. Exhibits line north Main Street and the horse judging runs Thursday through Saturday. Corn and vegetable displays compete on the Hadley block while carnival stands, base ball toys, two free acts by the Russell Players, and Rosston band music fill the afternoon and evening programs.

Purdue 10 Aid Poultrymen in Dec Show
Sheridan poultrymen will gain expert instruction from Purdue University Agricultural Experiment Station during the week of December 22 to 27. A Purdue associate will visit to answer questions and assist growers, bringing models such as a model poultry house oats sprouter trap nest and egg tester. The exhibit, previously shown in ten towns, attracted crowds and is in high demand this year.
Capital Circuit Traction seeks new franchise
The Capital Circuit Traction Co asks Lebanon and Noblesville for a new franchise after an earlier extension was refused and the old agreement voided. Promoters pledge additional capital, restoring confidence. Lapel schools closed Monday due to diphtheria. Public gate bills available at the News Office.
