Sheridan seeks vacation of ten acre street plan
In Noblesville Indiana on September 22 a petition was filed in Circuit Court by George W Mabrey of Sheridan asking that all streets and alleys platted in his ten acre block in the White and Morris addition be vacated except Hamilton Avenue South of Eighth Street. The town of Sheridan and its residents are named as defendants with interest noted by several others. Judge Vestal convened attorneys to review the Oct docket with fifty one cases set for trial and grand jury to meet October 20.

School House Condemned Sparks Township Debate
The Adams township school labeled number eleven was condemned by County Health Officer Dr Sturdevant on Sunday triggering protests led by Trustee Scott. Patrons had petitioned to condemn earlier but were promised a new building. Trustee Scott traveled to the State Capitol but faced inaction. Road work near M. E. church advances northward

David Leap and his wife narrowly escaped a fatal train collision at Mikels crossing east of town while returning from Sheridan. The horse bolted after the buggy overturned as Mrs. Leap steered to avoid the oncoming locomotive, leaving the couple bruised and the buggy damaged.
