In Noblesville Indiana Judge Cioe orders the sale of the estate real estate set aside and a resale to follow. The 60 acre farm north of Sheridan was sold two weeks earlier by executor Tob Harris to F L Har and others were listed as beneficiaries and challengers of the sale.
Good well near Moss lease in Albany field produces over 000 barrels. Moss O11 expands lease area to 400 acres adjoining the well. Trev rig started Friday and will complete in about 20 days. Ten businessmen formed a group to lease more land and expect dividends for stockholders. Texas Company relocates a standard officer to the Newscreek area.
Robert Wimborough of Clinton county sold 120 acres near Kirklin for $36,000 to W T Harding of Tipton. Some property in Tipton was taken by Wimborough as part of the deal. Banks will be closed all day Friday for Home Coming events.
Real estate auctioneer R C Foland will survey the county Saturday in an airplane piloted by a Kokomo man to advertise upcoming sales. He is expected to fly over Sheridan around 1 56 PM.
Quincey Vickery sold his residential property north of the Methodist church to Joshua Johnson for 89225. Johnson will gain possession January first. The deal was brokered by Cox Cooper.
The contract for the new bank building at Rosston was let last week to Jesse Fine of Lebanon for $5000.
Thirty six Sheridan residents have subscribed for stock in the cutlery company up to Wednesday morning and not one half of the business men have been called upon. Before week end the committee will approach every prospect in town to ensure success. Every citizen who can afford it should back it with his money. The company will manufacture cutlery in the near future if full cooperation is achieved.
William Haines seventy died Monday night at his Main and Tenth streets home from heart trouble after months of poor health. The funeral was held Wednesday at the residence with burial in Jones cemetery. He leaves a wife a son Ora of Yee Rin ted D C and two daughters Mrs Nannie Paddack of Sheridan and Mrs Claud Bogue.
Government warning from the U S Department of Agriculture cautions farmers about rising land prices across the United States, especially Iowa and the Corn Belt. Speculators profited by quick resales, risking serious losses for bona fide buyers if earnings decline after normal conditions return.
The Hamilton County Farmers' Association led by president A H Myers and secretary C D Barker launches a county wide drive aiming for two thousand members. They cite savings on twine and wool prices, critique grain pricing, and urge stronger farmer organization to counter board and merchant influence.
