Local Man Dies After Appendicitis Operation
Lesle Stephenson thirty six died at Methodist hospital after an operation for appendicitis last Monday. He had a critical condition from the start due to complications with other diseases. Funeral services were held from his East Fourth street home with burial at Crown View cemetery. He belonged to the Odd Fellows Encampment and Knights of Pythias lodges which conducted the burial. Survived by a wife two sons father a sister two brothers and two half brothers.

Sheridan group fails to win prize at Booth Festival
The Epworth League of Sheridan and others did not win at the Booth Festival in Tipton Park on Labor Day. First place was shared by Frankton and Grace Street Church of Kokomo, each getting half of ten dollars. Sheridan’s display drew attention for a three case Methodist hospital made from Wilson's milk and other donations. Contributions of food and linen exceeded six hundred fifty dollars, with about one hundred sixty six dollars in cash.
