Snow the Court House Clock Has Stopped in Noblesville
Noblesville Indiana September 2 1920 the court house clock stopped at nine Saturday morning and will not run again until repaired likely costing hundreds of dollars. Janitor Lester Roberts narrowly escaped injury while winding it as a large crank revolved backward and a 900 pound weight descended. Officials planned to hire an expert for repairs while county business proceeded with 80 000 projected for 1921 expenditures.

Seven hundred fifty extra nice sale catalogues were issued for the Wiles Wright sale of Big Type Polands at the L. M. Wiles farm southeast of Kirklin on September 15. The offerings include top genetics such as Yankee Bill, a full brother to Hoosier Bill and Chief Progress, and Hoosier Bill’s son. Hoosier Bill itself sold last year for 6100 dollars.

Fatal Accident Claims 65 Year Old Stephen Cox
Stephen H. Cox died after a mower malfunction hurled him headfirst into a tree in the barn. He suffered extensive convulsions and never regained consciousness following the Tuesday injury. Funeral services led by Rev. Stafford were held at Lamong Friends Church with burial at Crown View cemetery. He leaves a wife and daughter.

Sheridan man killed in Crown Point auto crash
Cassius E. Elliott of Sheridan died instantly when a car driven by H P. Willworth skidded after hitting a rut on a road nine miles beyond Crown Point Indiana. Willworth was injured and both men were thrown from the vehicle. Elliott was noted as a longtime Sheridan businessman and bank official with six sons and a widow.
