Forgery Case Sparks Town as Pair Vanishes With Coach
George Johnson a Harvey’s bakery worker and Miss Chew vanished after cashing forged checks totaling about 129 dollars on Farmers National. Smallpox Case Reported Near Sheridan in Tipton County
The Health Board of Tipton County reports a smallpox case at Tinker Neal's home five miles north of Sheridan just over the county line. A visiting young woman fell ill, doctors diagnosed smallpox, and the Neal residence is quarantined with no exposure outside the family. Frank Culby traveled to Marion on business earlier in the week.
