Frankfort electrician J H S Kelley sued the city claiming it could not sell electric light bulbs at lower prices. Judge Vestal overruled the city's demurrer and ruled the city may not use tax money to buy bulbs. The city plans to enter judgment and exit the bulb business.
At the Friday sale by A C Pearson five Sheridan properties were auctioned. The California and 4th corner residence sold to L W Cox for 2512 50, the barn and lot across the street to Tom Cline & Fisher for 408 50, a vacant Sixth street lot bought by F B Kercheval for 174, and two Sixth street lots to Fred McDonald for 175. Bidders competed with prices reasonable though not as high as hoped, total real and personal property valued at about 3500.
Mrs. W. Bi. Gulel died of a sudden apoplexy stroke after a quarantine halted visitation due to diptheria. Burial occurred near the Guirls’ former home. family includes husband two sons a daughter and several siblings. No funeral services were held.

Sheridan defeated Battle Ground 42 to 0 in a Saturday regional high school game. Sheridan opened strong with 24 points in the first half as Dickey Daly Griffin Waitt and Brightmire added TDs. Attendance fell short of expectations and financial shortfall from a prior game remained unresolved.

Mrs. George Kerbox died at her home near Elizaville Sunday afternoon from tuberculosis. She was 68 years old and is survived by her husband and seven children.
