Voters cast a light ballot with Republicans signaling support for Congressman Landis. Landis finished 72 votes behind the state ticket in the township, with a countywide plurality of 1 644 for the state ticket and Landis carrying most counties except Tipton. County results show Landis with a 3 085 plurality overall, while the county ticket won by about 1 400. Thomas Boxley age eleven died Tuesday morning and was buried beside his father and brother in Darlington Cemetery. This is the third boxley family member to die from typhoid fever in the past month. Other sick children are improving, and it is thought they may recover. Mrs J W Mills and Mrs W A Wainscott went to Darlington Sunday to assist sister Mrs %. H Boxley. Mrs C M Parr and Mrs J M Harris attended Tom Boxley's funeral.
