The Farmers National Bank of Sheridan will open for business in its new two story brick and stone building on Main Street facing Fifth Street. Ten Year Old Boy Dies of Typhoid and Meningitis

Simeon Perry a Negro man northeast of Hortonville claims to be 153 years old though unsure of his exact age. Born a slave in Kentucky he remembers the Creek Indian or Jackson War and Lincoln’s burial visit. Perry travelled widely, learned stone masonry, farmed, drilled wells, and has two living children from his third wife. He has supported the Republican ticket since the Civil War and was photographed years ago.

Road crash injures two motorists on new highway south of Zionsville
A Ford car carrying Ben Hoffman and Forrest Bitner and driven by Hoffman plunged seven feet into an open excavation on a new road south of Zionsville. The drivers were en route to Sheridan. Hoffman was thrown through the windshield and Bitner was knocked several feet away. Road workers reportedly failed to signal the gap. The Hoffmans had recently moved from Marion County to visit. Boone County reports ten delinquent registrants sought for military duty.
