Severe Hail Storm Hits Sheridan Saturday Night
A violent hail storm lasting about fifteen minutes struck Sheridan on Saturday night. Hen egg sized hail damaged wires and greenhouses, stripped leaves from Second street trees, and caused water runoff. Lightning struck barns belonging to Garfield Davis and Wm Eller, with Eller’s new dwelling material destroyed. insurance partially covers Eller loss in Hamilton County Company.

Alfalfa Trials Boost Boone County Farmers
A Boone County farming tour led by County Agent R W Imel and the Sheridan Dairy Association drew 200 farmers in 50 automobiles to review alfalfa trials. Visitors saw M M Evans’s 26 acres near Sheridan with 4 tons per acre this 1914 drought, and fields with lime, inoculation, rock phosphate, and nurse oats. Arthur Maple’s farm in Michigan is also noted.

Work Begun On Tenth Street Concrete Driveway Planned
A large crew started work on Tenth Street Wednesday morning. The half mile road will have a sixteen foot concrete driveway with eight foot gravel tracks on both sides. Contractor is Mr Brant of Frankfort, with T S Spencer as local superintendent. Project cost about 8000 dollars funded under the three mile gravel road law.
